Aesthetic Skin Clinic near Nottingham

Around 30 minutes' drive from Nottingham, Skin Anatomy in Southwell offers advanced skin treatments, including SmartXEL CO2 laser resurfacing, Endolaser tightening and E50 exosomes, in a calm and personal clinic, with a free consultation to begin.

Why clients travel from Nottingham

Many of our clients live in and around Nottingham, in Arnold, Carlton, Gedling, Mapperley, West Bridgford and the city itself, and choose to make the drive out to Southwell. They often tell us they were looking for something different from a busy high-street setting: an unhurried appointment, time to ask questions, and a practitioner who explains downtime and recovery honestly before recommending anything. At Skin Anatomy, consultations are free and focus on understanding your skin and what you want to achieve.

Nottingham clients frequently come to us for our more advanced treatments. The SmartXEL CO2 fractional laser resurfaces sun damage, lines and acne scarring while stimulating new collagen, and Endolaser, one of our newest treatments, uses a very fine laser fibre beneath the skin to help tighten the jawline, chin and neck. E50 exosomes support skin regeneration and hair, and CE-marked hyaluronic acid dermal fillers restore lost volume with a balanced, natural-looking approach. Results vary from person to person, and we will always tell you what is realistic.

Travelling out of the city has practical advantages too. The drive along the A612 through Burton Joyce and Lowdham often runs against the main flow of rush-hour traffic, and the clinic is a quiet, private space to relax before and after treatment. If you are planning a treatment with visible downtime, such as CO2 laser, you may prefer to arrange a lift home, and we will talk you through exactly what to expect at your consultation.

Getting here from Nottingham

Skin Anatomy is approximately 14 miles from Nottingham city centre, around 30 minutes by car depending on traffic. The most direct route follows the A612 north-east out of the city through Burton Joyce and Lowdham, then on through Thurgarton into Southwell. From Arnold or Mapperley, your sat nav may suggest country roads instead, so check the quickest option on the day.

By train, take a Nottingham to Newark service from Nottingham station and get off at Fiskerton, the nearest station to Southwell, about three miles from the clinic. A short taxi ride brings you into the town centre. Regular buses also run between Nottingham and Southwell; please check current timetables before you travel, as times can change.

If you drive, there are pay-and-display car parks in Southwell town centre a short walk from Queen Street. We recommend allowing a little extra time on your first visit so you can park, find us and arrive relaxed. If you are unsure where to park, call 07777 711 277 before you set off.

If you have mobility or access needs, please let us know when you book so we can help make your visit as easy as possible. If you are travelling by train and taxi, allow extra time for connections so your appointment does not feel rushed.

Visiting from Nottingham? Your questions answered

How far is Skin Anatomy from Nottingham?

Skin Anatomy is approximately 14 miles from Nottingham city centre, around a 30-minute drive via the A612 through Burton Joyce and Lowdham. Journey times vary with traffic, so allow a little extra time for your first visit, including a few minutes to park in one of the pay-and-display car parks in Southwell town centre.

Why do clients travel from Nottingham to Southwell?

Most Nottingham clients tell us they come for the personal, unhurried approach and the clinic's advanced treatments, such as SmartXEL CO2 laser resurfacing, Endolaser and E50 exosomes. Every treatment starts with a free consultation, so you can meet us, ask questions and decide whether the clinic is right for you before committing to anything.

Can I get to the clinic by train from Nottingham?

Yes, you can take a train from Nottingham towards Newark and get off at Fiskerton, the closest station to Southwell, about three miles from the clinic. From there a short taxi ride takes you into the town centre. Regular buses also link Nottingham and Southwell, so check current timetables before travelling.

Should I arrange a lift home after CO2 laser or Endolaser?

You can usually travel home straight after treatment, but some clients prefer to arrange a lift. After CO2 laser the skin is typically red and warm, like sunburn, for the first one to three days, and Endolaser can cause swelling for three to seven days. We explain the likely downtime at your consultation so you can plan your journey and time off.

Will I need to make several trips from Nottingham?

It depends on the treatment. CO2 laser is typically one to two sessions for skin rejuvenation or three to five for scarring, spaced weeks apart, while other treatments may need a single session and a review. We plan your appointments at your consultation so you know how many journeys to expect before you commit.

Do you offer E50 exosome treatment for hair?

Yes, E50 exosome therapy is available for both skin and hair at Skin Anatomy. For the scalp, it is used to support a healthier scalp and thicker-looking hair, usually over a course of sessions, and results vary. Sudden, patchy or unexplained hair loss should be checked by your GP before any cosmetic treatment.
