Aesthetic Skin Clinic near Bingham

About 20 minutes from Bingham, Skin Anatomy in Southwell focuses on subtle, skin-first treatments, including skin boosters, polynucleotides, anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers, for clients who want to look fresher and well rested rather than overdone.

Why clients travel from Bingham

Clients from Bingham and the Rushcliffe villages around it, including Radcliffe on Trent, East Bridgford, Aslockton and Car Colston, often come to Skin Anatomy with a very clear brief: they want to look fresher, not frozen or obviously treated. That suits our approach. At your free consultation we look at your skin quality as well as lines and volume, and we are just as happy to recommend a lighter touch, or no treatment at all, if that is what is right for you.

Skin quality programmes are especially popular with Bingham clients. Skin boosters deliver hyaluronic acid into the skin to improve hydration, texture and glow, while polynucleotides are regenerative injections that help strengthen and brighten thinner, crepey skin, such as under the eyes and on the neck. Both are usually given as a short course a few weeks apart, and improvement builds gradually; results vary, and we will always explain what is realistic for your skin. We use TargetCool CO2 skin cooling during injectable treatments to help keep you comfortable.

Where lines and volume loss are part of the picture, anti-wrinkle injections and CE-marked hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be combined with skin quality treatments for a balanced result. Anti-wrinkle injections are prescription-only, so a face-to-face consultation with a prescriber always comes first. The drive over Gunthorpe Bridge and through Lowdham is a pleasant one, and the clinic is a quiet, private space once you arrive, with time set aside to answer your questions before any treatment begins.

Getting here from Bingham

Skin Anatomy is approximately 10 miles from Bingham, usually around 20 minutes by car. A common route heads north from the Bingham area on the A6097, crosses the River Trent at Gunthorpe Bridge, then joins the A612 through Lowdham and Thurgarton into Southwell. From East Bridgford, Gunthorpe Bridge is only a few minutes away.

Most Bingham clients drive. Bingham has its own railway station, but its trains run towards Nottingham and Grantham rather than Southwell; the nearest station to the clinic is Fiskerton, on the Nottingham to Newark line, about three miles away. Please check current timetables if you plan to travel by train or bus.

There are pay-and-display car parks in Southwell town centre, a short walk from our clinic at 17 Queen Street. Injectable treatments can leave small marks or mild swelling for a day or two, so some clients like to plan a quiet afternoon after their appointment.

If you have access needs, please mention them when you book and we will help make your visit as easy as possible. If you would like to talk through the journey or anything else before your first appointment, you are welcome to call us on 07777 711 277.

Visiting from Bingham? Your questions answered

How far is Skin Anatomy from Bingham?

Skin Anatomy is approximately 10 miles from Bingham, around a 20-minute drive via the A6097 over Gunthorpe Bridge and the A612 through Lowdham. Times vary with traffic, and there are pay-and-display car parks in Southwell town centre a short walk from the clinic.

Will anti-wrinkle injections make me look frozen?

Not usually. The aim is to soften lines while keeping natural movement and expression. Treatment is planned individually after a face-to-face consultation with a prescriber, because anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only medicine. Results vary, usually develop over about two weeks, and we review you afterwards.

What is the difference between skin boosters and polynucleotides?

Skin boosters mainly hydrate: they deliver hyaluronic acid into the skin to improve moisture, texture and glow. Polynucleotides are regenerative, helping to support repair and strengthen thin or crepey skin, such as under the eyes. Some clients benefit from one, some from both, and we recommend what suits your skin at your free consultation.

How many sessions of skin boosters or polynucleotides will I need?

Most clients start with a short course of treatments spaced a few weeks apart, followed by occasional maintenance sessions. The exact number depends on your skin, age and goals. Improvement builds gradually over the weeks after each session, and results vary from person to person.

Can dermal fillers give a subtle, natural result?

They can, when the right product is placed conservatively and in proportion to your face. We use CE-marked hyaluronic acid fillers and plan treatment around your features rather than trends, sometimes advising less than you expected. Hyaluronic acid fillers are long-lasting but not permanent, and results vary.

Is there downtime after skin boosters or polynucleotides?

Downtime is usually minimal. Small raised marks at the injection points typically settle within a day or two, and some people have mild redness, swelling or bruising. We explain all of your aftercare before you leave, so you can plan the rest of your day and any social events around your appointment.
